Why didn’t Thanos's hand touch the Time Stone, like the Space or Mind ones?

Here’s what I noticed:

Only three characters have ever laid their hand on the Time Stone: Dr. Strange, The Ancient One, and Thanos. How did they all handle it?

See how they all handled it? By never directly touching it.

Maybe that is a subtle way of the directors of saying no one can “touch” time. Or, I guess that’s how the Time Stone wants to be treated. Each stone is unique in its own way.
